Become a Precinct Captain

Did you know? Only 52% of registered voters in San Diego County cast their ballot in the 2022 statewide election. The math is simple. If more registered Republicans voted, we would win more elections.

Since the Democratic Party unethically and deceptively uses universal mail in ballots to harvest ballots to their advantage, we must ensure we are getting our fellow Republicans out to vote more than ever before. The way we will do this is by building a robust precinct captain operation to encourage our fellow Republicans to vote, increase voter turn out and win more elections.

Precinct Captains such as yourself will serve as the tip of the spear for GOTV (get out the vote) efforts.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how YOU can take direct action by becoming a Precinct Captain for your neighborhood and help get out the vote to turn this state around starting right here in San Diego County.

What is a Precinct? What is a precinct captain?

A precinct is merely a number assigned to any given area to help the county manage voter registration data. Depending on the area, precincts vary in size but are typically around the size of a few city blocks. After completing step one below you will get a better understanding of what a precinct is, how large they are and what your precinct looks like.

Precinct Captains are volunteers who serve as a representative to the San Diego Republican Party and Republican candidates to registered Republicans in their immediate area. Precinct Captains build long-lasting relationships with registered voters in their precinct and help voters with issues such as getting their ballots turned in and answering election-related questions they might have, for this election cycle and all future election cycles to come, or even registering more people as Republicans.

Precinct Captains are crucial. We know the Democrats use their vast number of resources to pay people to collect as many ballots as they can. That is why we need as many Precinct Captains as possible to turn out more Republican votes. We will not turn our county around and stop the advance of the Democrats without Precinct Captains.

step One

Find your precinct number

First, click this button to access the mapping data.

You will then see the screen below. Enter your residential address in the search bar circled in red.

After entering your address, you will see your local data and your precinct number. In the example below, the address entered was 1600 Pacific Highway and the precinct number for that address is circled in red.

step Two

Acquire Your Precinct Voter Data

1. Email me (Corbin) at gotvcorbin@gmail.com

2. Give me your precinct number and let me know you want to become a Precinct Captain and are helping with GOTV efforts

3. I will then send you an encrypted Excel file with voter registration data in your precinct. This will include information you will need to complete the next steps, such as names and addresses.

Files sent must be encrypted in order to maintain security. Unfortunately this will prevent you from downloading or sharing the file.

step Three

Order postcards

For a minimal financial sacrifice, order as many postcards as you are able to in order to reach out to voters in your immediate area. You can either use the provided design or create your own. Think of it this way, our Founding Fathers sacrificed much more to give us what we have today!

On the top right of your screen click “print with Canva” (desktop) or click the icon that looks like a truck (mobile), then choose your options and order your postcards. Canva account required.

step Four

Fill out and mail the postcards

At this point you are personally establishing contact with registered Republicans in your immediate area. Those in receipt of these postcards will be receiving them not from a political party or some politician they never heard of, but from their neighbor. That’s what makes this effort different. By mailing these post cards, you are personally encouraging registered Republicans in your area to turn their ballot. After you order your postcards and once you receive your postcards, fill them out and mail them.

step Five

Build a relationship with voters in your area

A robust precinct captain program is how we are going to turn our country around. It is crucially important everyone willing to get involved, gets involved.

Precinct Captains will serve as the tip of the spear for getting more Republicans to vote in all elections to come. Do not be dismayed by the possibility of not knowing a question that might be asked of you. Your central committee members are here to help. If you do not already have the contact information for your central committee members, click the button below.
